We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 31 January. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
With the summer holidays fast approaching, now is an important time to remind children to keep safe on roads. Many children play out near the roads without adult supervision and are allowed to make journeys and cross roads independently.
The film attached is aimed at Year 3&4 pupils, but is also suitable for those in Year 2 & Year 5. The film teaches vital road safety skills, such as, using the Green Cross Code and the safer places to cross, crossing safely at junctions and between parked cars. It is a good reminder for those pupils who completed the Practical Pedestrian Training in Year 3 of the life-saving skills learnt during the course.
