Pupil Voice

Pupil Voice

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child states that "Children and Young People have the right to be heard when adults make decisions that affect their lives". We want all children and young people in Bradford District to be empowered and supported to have a voice and influence within public services and within their communities - including in their learning settings. Children and young people should have an understanding of their rights and an age appropriate knowledge of citizenship and democracy.

There are a range of organisations and services that can work with both your school and your learners in terms of learning and development around pupil and student voice and children's rights

For more information on the support available please email childfriendly@bradford.gov.uk

If you have any stories about the successes of your school councils or pupil voice work then please just get in touch.
