We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 31 January. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
The Bradford Clean Air Schools Programme (CASP) is a Bradford Council initiative funded by the Bradford Clean Air Zone (CAZ). Reductions in pollution outside schools are already being delivered by the CAZ, especially at those located next to busy main roads.
The CASP seeks to further improve air quality within a schools environment. Schools have been granted funding to help them implement bespoke emission and exposure reduction measures ensuring schools become cleaner, healthier places for Bradford’s children.
One of the main elements of the CASP is Anti Idling.
Bradford Council have employed 5 neighbourhood wardens, one in each locality, to focus on parked vehicles that are outside schools with their engine running.
There is also a school education and engagement programme that will focus on anti-idling and clean air.
More information will follow.
