Healthy Minds Wellbeing Intervention Training

Please note the following is under review:

This initiative offers pre-recorded video-training for up to two members of school staff to support them in learning about and implementing interventions relating to mental health and emotional wellbeing.

The following intervention training videos are currently available to schools:

  • Emotion Coaching
  • Zones of Regulation
  • Mindfulness
  • Restorative Practice
  • CBT-based approaches and the ‘Think Good Feel Good’ intervention
  • Resilience-based intervention
  • Social Stories and Comic Strip Conversations
  • Ideal Self/Ideal School - a Personal Construct Psychology approach to gathering pupil views

Who is it for: Schools who are participating in either MHC Plus, Bradford Healthy Minds Chartermark, or Bradford DfE Senior Mental Health Leads training. Unfortunately, schools who are not signed up to at least one of these initiatives are unable to access this offer.

Expectations of schools: Schools are able to access unlimited training topics, but must demonstrate that an intervention has been embedded into school practice before accessing any additional training.

Who to contact to access the intervention training

If you are currently engaged in the Bradford Healthy Minds Chartermark (including schools involved in any other additional mental health projects): Please contact the link person from the EP team currently involved in your Chartermark process

If you are currently engaged in the DfE Senior Mental Health Leads training (including schools also involved in MHC Plus): Please contact the link person from the EP team currently involved in your the DfE Training.

If you are currently engaged in Mental Health Champions PLUS only: Please contact the link person from the EP team currently involved in your MHC Plus progression.

If you are not involved in any of the above projects please contact the MHChampions team at MHChampions@bradford.gov.uk - you will need to upgrade to one of the projects listed above in order to be eligible to access the Wellbeing Intervention Training. If you wish to upgrade from MHC Core to MHC Plus, you will need to liase with the MHC Plus project lead, Dr Sophie Davis.
