Managing Allegations

Managing Allegations

When a professional has information or a concern which suggests that an adult volunteering, or working with, or on behalf of children, has;

  • Behaved in a way that has harmed, or may have harmed a child

  • Possibly committed a criminal offence against, or related to a child or

  • Behaved towards a child or children in a way that indicates they may pose a risk of harm to children.

  • Behaved or may have behaved in a way that indicates they may not be suitable to work with children

The Headteacher or another member of school management should contact 01274 435600 and ask to be put through to Duty LADO. If the Duty LADO is not available then the school will be asked to send an email requesting a call back to LADO@bradford.gov.uk specifying their name, role, agency and contact details only.

A LADO Referral Form may then need to be submitted, which can be found on the Bradford Safeguarding Children Partnership's website.

If a referral is requested the completed LADO referral forms should be attached as a word document and sent by email secured via Galaxkey to LADO@bradford.gov.uk.

If you do not have Galaxkey or a secure email the Duty LADO will advise how the referral should be sent.
