YMCA Bradford are recruiting for two Secondary schools for our Changing Futures Peer Mentoring programme that supports positive mental health for young people and supports young people transitioning to secondary school

The Changing Futures peer mentoring programme is delivered by students in years 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 supported by qualified and experienced YMCA Youth Workers.  The programme offers youth led emotional wellbeing and mental health mentoring & support for students making the transition from primary to secondary school.

 

As part of the programme students will be supported to deliver:

 

Peer Mentoring (with accreditation opportunities)

Wellbeing sessions

Social Action projects

Assemblies & Workshops

Mental Health focused initiatives

For schools interested you will need to be able to identify young people who are interested in Peer Mentoring who will trained to deliver the programme in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness week 2023
