Session 4:
Technical security/data recovery Thu 25 May 16:00-17:00
This session, aimed at computing curriculum leads, SLT and IT technicians, will help schools ensure their policy and practice for technical and physical security of hardware and data meet government guidelines and recommendations documented in the 360-degree
safe self-review tool. The session will explore ways physical security and digital solutions can be deployed alongside staff training to mitigate chances of a data breach and ensure school has a suitable data recovery plan.
Session 5:
Utilising and managing data in the cloud Wed 14 June 16:00-17:00
This session will examine the benefits and limitations of storing data in the cloud and specifically explore using Google Workspace for Education and MS office 365. The session, aimed at computing curriculum leads and SLT will include a look at GDPR regulation
including data retention, backup solutions and ensuring school data stored in a cloud solution is secure and compliant to any national guidance and frameworks.
