Cycle To Work Scheme
The cycle to work scheme will be open for applications between 1st May and 11th June 2023.
The scheme allows Bradford Council staff to purchase up to £4000 worth of bike related items such as a new bike, accessories, sportswear and helmets via salary sacrifice.
“I was able to get a full suspension CUBE electric mountain bike on the Cycle to Work scheme. I’m extremely happy with my bike, never would I have spent the amount I did if I’d have had to buy it at full price
The scheme enabled me to spread the cost and buy a great spec bike at a discounted price due to the scheme discount, and tax and national insurance savings with savings overall in the region of 40% off” Andy,
Electrical Surveyor
If like Andy you’d like to benefit from the scheme, during the application window you can apply and browse the online shop at
www.cyclesolutions.info/bradfordcouncil.
Or visit a participating store such as:
Paul Milnes Cycles, Bradford
All Terrain Cycles, Saltaire
Wheelbase, Ilkley
Alpkit, Ilkley
The benefit of the scheme is that the costs are spread across the year and deducted directly from your salary. Also, savings of up to 40% off the usual retail cost can be made.
Cycling is a great way to get fit and healthy, avoid congestion and save money on fuel.
In recent years a number of segregated cycle lanes have been installed, towpaths and traffic free routes have been improved and more cycle parking provision has been made available.
