We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 31 January. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
We are currently seeking feedback from schools who use the local agreed syllabus for RE. The current shared syllabus ‘Believing and Belonging’ will be reviewed by 2024 and we need your input! Please read on for further information and to access the online feedback form.
The local agreed syllabus for RE is written and approved by the Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education. The syllabus sets out how RE should be taught and includes what should be covered in each key stage. The RE syllabus must be reviewed every five years. The current shared syllabus ‘Believing and Belonging’ will be reviewed by 2024. The units of work which sit alongside the syllabus will also be reviewed. We are beginning our review process by consulting with schools and teachers who use the current syllabus, in order to refine the changes that need to be made. At the end of March we will be discussing as a joint SACRE the models and methods that will form the RE syllabus from September 2024. If you would like to participate, please click on the link below. Please note that the closing date for feedback has been extended and any feedback you send will be included for consideration,
Thank you in advance for your feedback.
