The Peace Museum will be running a series of 10 free workshops for schools in 2023 as part of Museum Development England’s The Wild Escape scheme, in partnership with Art Fund UK. These sessions will be for KS2 classes in the Bradford area, and will run
from January to March next year. The artwork produced during these workshops will be used to create a digital exhibition.
The Wild Escape is a project which brings together museums and schools across the UK, celebrating the country’s native wildlife through creative activities. Children between the ages of 7 and 11 will be invited to create artwork of animals returning to their
natural habitat, inspired by objects in museum collections. These artworks will be displayed online and in museums on Earth Day, which is the 22nd of April 2023.
The workshops run by The Peace Museum will use the museum’s collections relating to habitat loss, climate change and litter to help the groups create collaborative artworks imagining a future of biodiversity. The sessions will be offered to local schools
on a first come first served basis.
