Last chance to take part in a short survey to inform Bradford's new Design Code

There are four days left to contribute to a survey to help Bradford Council with the production of a Design Code for new housing development in the Bradford district.

People can take part in the survey at www.bradforddesigncode.com

Over 500 people have had their say so far and the survey closes at midnight on Monday 21 November 2022.

Design Codes include a set of rules for new development and should create better and more sustainable places and neighbourhoods. Bradford is one of the first councils in the country to test this new approach, which will eventually become mandatory for every local authority.

The Council wants the new code to address the things that are important to local people and has been running a short survey asking residents about what they like and dislike about their homes, streets and areas in which they live. The survey also asks what things people would most like to see improved and what makes Bradford’s character unique.

Bradford is one of the youngest and most diverse places in the country, and we particularly want to engage with those who don’t usually get involved in the planning process, and it's hoped that the design code will help support the ambition to become a UNICEF Child Friendly District.
