SkillsHouse Careers and Technical Education have secured funding from the Government Equality Office (GEO)to support the delivery of careers-related learning in primary schools via DfE’s Opportunity Area programme. Evidence suggests that children’s attitudes
towards careers are influenced by perceived gender stereotypes early in their learning, and their socio-economic background at primary school age. This can narrow their career aspirations, which suggests that interventions at primary school age could be important
in raising children's aspirations before they become entrenched - particularly in relation to girls and STEM careers. The event will form part of the GEO ‘The Wonderful World of STEM Unpicked’ Project.
The event will take place on Tuesday 6th December 2022 From 11:00am at City Hall, Bradford.
