The Linking Network works with children and young people to build relationships with people they might otherwise not meet – people of different ages, ethnicities, religions and backgrounds – through providing resources, teacher training on SMSC, School Linking and Intergenerational Linking.

We are delighted to be recruiting for our 2022-23 linking programmes.  Details are below. There is no charge for these programmes for Bradford schools who would like to participate thanks to the support of Bradford Council. Please do get in touch to discuss how your school can get involved.

The Linking Network is able to support you with Intergenerational Linking where a group of students from a primary or secondary school link with a nearby older people's group or care home.

Intergenerational linking activities can be a mix of virtual and face to face contact. We are able to offer support with planning and facilitation of activities as well as finding a group of older people to link with if you don't already have a relationship.

Schools already involved are finding this a very positive experience for students as we know many of us through the pandemic have wanted to think of ways our students can connect with older people in their community and ease isolation.
