We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 31 January. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel is the new name for Sustrans Big Pedal. It is the UK’s largest inter-school walking, wheeling, scooting and cycling challenge. The aim is to inspire more families to get active on the school run to help create happier and healthier communities.
This year's challenge will run for 10 days from 21 March to 1 April 2022 and is open to all primary and secondary schools in the UK, including SEN/ASN/ALN schools. On each day of the challenge schools compete to see who can record the greatest number of pupils walking, using a wheelchair, scooting or cycling to school. Click on the link below to register your school and receive free daily interactive resources and the chance to win fabulous prizes.
