Encourage your pupils to develop their debating skills by getting involved in a real-world debate.

Museums around the world are having the debate about where some of the objects they have in their collections actually belong – and who they belong to. Bradford District Museums & Galleries can help your pupils to join in with this debate, using this video which focuses on our collections at Cliffe Castle Museum in Keighley. The video introduces pupils to some of the arguments around this topic, before setting the scene for a whole-class debate.

This video is particularly aimed at Upper KS2 and KS3. Links can be made to the English and History curriculums.

For more information and if you are interested in trialling this video, please contact learning@bradford.gov.uk. We particularly welcome contact from schools with a higher than average pupil premium as this video has been funded via our DfE Museums & Schools funding.
