SEMH Team

We are part of a service for Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the Bradford district.

As a team of Specialist Teachers and Practitioners we work within the Social, Communication, Interaction, & Learning Team (SCIL Team) alongside the other specialist areas of Communication and Interaction (including Autism), Cognition &   Learning and Early Years.  For full details of our offer, please visit  About SCIL Team 

Our offer focuses on equipping mainstream schools/settings to identify and effectively support children and young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities through high quality teaching, reasonable adjustments and additional provision. The offer includes SEND Specialist Support, Support for Individual Children and Training.

 Bradford Nurture Network (run by David Chadwick)

• Bradford’s Nurture Network is for schools and settings wishing to develop their Nurturing practice. The aim is to provide a platform for staff to share how they embed principles into practice to support vulnerable children who may have experienced early life trauma and may find it difficult to settle to learn.
• The Network will be conducted virtually over MS Teams, once per half term in a late afternoon session between 3.30pm and 4.30pm. The networks are free of charge and are aimed at settings who are interested in any aspect of Nurture, including the 6 Principles, or who are thinking of setting up a classic Nurture Group.
