Skills for Work are Bradford Council's inhouse training provider and provide apprenticeships to both new recruits as well as existing members of staff.

We offer a free recruitment service, advertising your vacancy through the national apprenticeship service website, to our partner organisations plus our pool of learners and we carry out all pre-interviews and assessments, saving you time, money and resources.  We match people to your Job description and specification and give you a few candidates to interview as part of the recruitment process.  We can also deliver apprenticeships to existing members of staff, not just new recruits.  Helping you upskill your current members of staff for development opportunities, giving new skills and qualifications.

Our website, including case studies and additional courses are here: www.skills-for-work.co.uk

Funding:

Incentives (New recruits only)

Youth Incentive: the youth incentive is also still available, this includes the £1,000 incentive to employers for hiring an apprentice: aged 16 to 18 years old or under 25 with an education, health and care plan or who has been in the care of their local authority.

For schools paying into the Apprenticeship Levy, you can utilise this money to pay for apprenticeship training for your staff.

Non-Levy schools - If your annual wage bill is less than £3million, you are a Non-Levy employer. This means you would fall into the co-investment funding model, whereby you can receive funding towards the cost of training apprentices.
