Now enrolling for the final 3 places available on Brathay Trust and Youth in Mind's, Peer Mentoring Programme. Already established in over 30 schools across Bradford and Craven, we work with you to improve your YP's mental health and implement long-term mental health legacies!

This programme is available, free of charge, to all Primary and Secondary Schools across the Bradford and Craven Districts. The aim of the programme is to form a network of School Co-ordinators, who would work with us to improve the mental health of Young People across our districts; recruiting, training, and mentoring older year groups who, in turn, would mentor those younger than themselves. The ambition is to break down the stigma of mental health by establishing champions (peer mentors) within each School, overseen by trained staff.

In return, the Brathay Project team supports you, the School Co-ordinator, by providing not only the initial training but also a step-by-step guide to setting up a Peer Mentoring Program in your school, access to a comprehensive tool kit and ongoing support from Brathay staff…all completely FREE OF CHARGE! The take up has been fantastic and feedback highlights that the delivery method and ongoing support is a very useful tool for those already enrolled. The programme is due to conclude in March 2023, and we are down to our final 3 spaces available, places will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

The next training event will be on Tuesday 1st November 2022, hosted via Microsoft Teams and running from 9.30 – 12.30pm. We are now accepting expressions of interest and spaces are limited, so
