The purpose of this communication is to provide an opportunity for stakeholder views on the proposed change to the Admissions Arrangements for the schools listed below for entry from September 2023.

Introduction
The schools listed above are part of Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust (BDAT). When an admission authority wishes to make changes to their admission arrangements, they must consult to ensure all relevant views are heard. BDAT is consulting on the following
changes to the admission arrangements for the schools listed above:
Proposed changes:
- Wording and has been changed to bring them in line with BDAT being the admissions authority for the schools and to also include the updates from the recent changes to the admissions code.
- Updated supplementary forms included in each of the Admissions Arrangements.
- St Oswald's has made the following proposed changes to the following oversubscription criteria:
- Children who have an exceptional medical or social need (recommend by the appropriate professional – please read notes and definitions carefully)
- A child who resides within the catchment area of the school and is eligible for the pupil premium
(or service premium) at the time of application
- A child who resides within the catchment area of the school.

Why are we proposing these changes?
The reason for the changes are to ensure transparency and openness on the contents of the arrangements to allow parents, carers and other stakeholders who might not previously been interested in admissions arrangements to make a representation that can then
be considered as part of the determination of the arrangements.

During this statutory consultation we want to consult with:
Parents/carers of current pupils and prospective parents of pupils.
Members of school staff
Admissions Authorities
Local Authority
Councillors and MP’s
Trade Unions
Community and religious organisations
When are we consulting?
The consultation will run from 13th December to 31st January.
Why are we proposing these changes?

When would the changes come into effect?
If approved, the arrangements would be introduced from September 2023

What happens after the consultation period?
After the consultation closes the responses will be collated and presented to the Trusts Admissions Committee who will decide whether or not to proceed with the proposed changes and determine the admission arrangements. The outcome will be published on our
website by 15 March 2022.
