The Great British Spring Clean

The Great British Spring Clean is more important than ever this year. We want to get our community ready for when we come out of lockdown so let’s work together as a district to tidy, sweep, collect, trim and polish and get ready for the summer we all need.

Bradford Council are able to supply, tabards, litter pickers, gloves, bin bags, a bag collection service and advice to help you and your community get involved in the Great British Spring Clean.

If your school wants to get involved we want to hear about it and help support you. Contact your area officer to see how we can help support the effort in your area.

Coordinating a surrounding school site Spring Clean or local community project is a proven method of teaching children about respecting and protecting where they live. By encouraging a sense of pride in our district through the children that live here we strive to educate the whole community about environmental and ecological issues.

We would love for schools and community organisations to share before and after pictures. We want to show others how something as simple as litter picking and a quick tidy up can really improve areas of our district.

To get involved in the national campaign the official website has some great resources: https://www.keepbritaintidy.org/get-involved/support-our-campaigns/great-big-school-clean
