This course will consider the benefits of using journaling to record mathematical ideas and show understanding – an approach used in Singapore. Teachers will have the opportunity to look at examples of pupils’ learning journals from a range of year groups,
understand how this approach complements the teaching for mastery approach and see how the course leader uses journaling with a group of pupils from Parkland Primary School. The trainer is Mark Hattersley - NCETM PD Lead, STEM consultant, Maths No Problem
trainer and Assistant Headteacher at St Mary's & St Peter's Catholic Primary School
