Are you looking for different ways for your pupils to record their mathematics? Do you want to see a way that shows independent learning? if yes this is the course for you. Journalling has made a great differenceto maths learning in my own school.

This course will consider the benefits of using journaling to record mathematical ideas and show understanding – an approach used in Singapore. Teachers will have the opportunity to look at examples of pupils’ learning journals from a range of year groups, understand how this approach complements the teaching for mastery approach and see how the course leader uses journaling with a group of pupils from Parkland Primary School. The trainer is Mark Hattersley - NCETM PD Lead, STEM consultant, Maths No Problem trainer and Assistant Headteacher at St Mary's & St Peter's Catholic Primary School

"Inspired by @TotallyMaths, I introduced my Y5 class to maths journaling. A resounding success. Really useful pupil practice, GD challenged themselves, was fab AFL and required very little prep. The children really enjoyed it and produced some of the best work I've seen so far.: Maths leader at Green Lane Primary School, Sept 19
