We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 31 January. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
Safeguarding issue - Great Horton area
This morning, one of our year 6 girls was approached by a male near St Oswald's Primary in Great Horton. This happened in the snicket behind The Ridge medical practice. The male, in his twenties - started to ask the girl undesirbale and inappropriate personal questions. Luckily, the child walked away quickly, made her way to school and told a member of staff straight away. We've just sent a text out to parents to warn them to be vigilant and to escort children to and from school. We have also contacted the police and they're on their way to school now.
