From the DfE –

We have several upcoming DfE events being planned as part of the call for evidence on the SEND Financial arrangements. We are pleased to be able to invite you to apply for a place at one of three events coming up during June and July:

24th June, Leeds: https://bit.ly/2WCRk97

1st July, London: https://bit.ly/2IxNG6p

15th July, Birmingham: https://bit.ly/2Wqt30U

These events have been designed to give the DfE the opportunity to meet and hear from a wide range of professionals, and parents, and to provide them with additional information and insights to feed in to the call for evidence. Therefore, there is an expectation that all attending will have read all consultation documents, including the consultation questions, which will be the focus of the event. Please note that these events will not be discussing individual cases, or consulting on the amount of money available in the system. For more information on the call for evidence please visit https://bit.ly/2vKpasK

In particular, those in the following roles may find the event useful:

·        Local authority SEN officers

·        Local authority finance officers

·        Headteachers

·        SENCOs

·        Parent/carer representatives

·        Alternative Provision providers

·        Special schools

This event is limited to 50 places, and demand is likely to be high.

An agenda will be sent nearer the time. If you have any further questions please contact sen Financial events@ncb.org.uk
