James will look at the high-level strategic concepts a school needs to put in place in order to create a culture where everyone writes well. Drawing on research and practical experience James will consider organisation of the curriculum, timetabling and
planning, along with effective strategies for the teaching of writing in the classroom.
Session 1: Developing a writing culture (approx. 1 hr)
Session 2: Creating a curriculum for writing (approx. 1 hr 30 mins)
Session 3: Effective strategies for teaching writing (approx. 1 hr 30 mins)
