We would like to invite your Headtehacer or Deputy/Assistant Head or Business Manager to attend a training event which has been arranged following the publication of Government guidance issued in January 2016. This seminar and workshop has been designed
to give guidance to schools in managing a potentially violent or dangerous situation in or around the school premises.
These free events will be held on the:
- 1st March 2017
- 14th June 2017
The events will be held between 09:00hrs and 13:00hrs at West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Headquarters Training Centre, Bradford Road, Birkenshaw, BD11 2DY.
Topics covered will include:-
- Presentations covering:-
- Invacuation (including Lockdown)
- Evacuation for reasons other than Fire (including silent evacuation)
- School Site Security
- Workshop scenarios which may require invacuation/lockdown and/or evacuation
- Q & A session
The above seminar and workshop is in collaboration with the following parties – Bradford Council, Calderdale Council, Kirklees Council, Leeds City Council, Wakefield Council, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, North East CTU and West Yorkshire Police.
