This course is designed for those who wish to combine study with other commitments, and provides an opportunity to develop a range of vocational, academic and personal skills which will be of value in your practice in the workplace. For those who wish to
take their study further, the degree will also offer a preparation towards an Honours Degree and is a recognised key pathway towards Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT).
Pen Green has been recognised by the Government as an exemplary Centre for Early Years Professional Development and has a comprehensive network of international contacts. This course will give you the opportunity to benefit from the activities and practices
of the Centre.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a Foundation Degree by the University of Hertfordshire.
The Foundation Degree is facilitated over three study weeks for each of the two years of the course;
Study week 1. 6th-10th February 2017
Study week 2. 22nd -26th May 2017
Study week 3. 16th-20th October 2017
Study week 4. 5th-9th February 2018
Study week 5. 21st-25th May 2018
Study week 6. 1st-5th October 2018
Graduation January 2019
Interviews will be held at St Edmund's during November.
