The only statement in the new statutory framework for the early years foundation stage is in the Early Learning Goals section within ‘Understanding the World’. It states that, ‘children recognise that a range of technology is used in places such as homes
and schools. They select and use technology for particular purposes’.
On this half-day conference we will introduce the new Bradford Curriculum and we will investigate how to make effective use of a range of technology, content, software and apps including whiteboard software, online content and tablet devices (specifically
iPads) to impact on learning and development in the Early Years.
We will look at five specific areas where technology can impact on learning outcomes. These areas are:-
- Digital Cameras in the Early Years
- Sound in the Early Years
- Tablets in the Early Years
- Remote and Programmable Toys in the Early Years
- Computer/laptops/IWBs/Plasmas in the Early Years.
