Receiving a data file every week ensures that Bradford Council’s Pupil Information Management System (MIS) matches the data held by yourselves (the school). It is imperative that this data is processed into our MIS accurately to ensure that Education and
Council Services dependant on the data can trust it to undertake their business processes and make informed decisions with regards to pupils and schools.
It is important we (the Council) receive data from schools and that it is accurate as it contributes to the Safeguarding of Bradford’s Children and informs Council services who provide services to pupils and schools e.g. School Admissions Team, School Travel
Service, Special Educational Needs (including monthly SEN budget funding reviews), Social Workers, Education Psychologists, Looked After Children Team and Learning Support Services. The data is also used to help populate reports and analytical information
which is made available to you via Bradford Schools Online.
The pupil data files schools send to us (the Council) also contains the latest attendance figures for individual pupils. Again, it is imperative this data is received and imported to ensure up to date attendance figures are available to those services requiring
them allowing them to direct the necessary support to your pupils and school.
Jayne McBride and Melanie Hinchcliffe from the Business Support Team are responsible for the collection and accuracy of the data collected from schools and during the course of the year they are likely to contact schools to discuss any queries identified
with their data. In the interim if you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact Mel or Jayne on :
