National Education Nature Park grants available for selected Bradford nurseries, schools and colleges

The National Education Nature Park aims to bring together places of education to form a vast network of spaces across England taking action to improve biodiversity and empowering children and young people to make a positive difference to both their own and to nature’s future.

The National Education Nature Park grants, once awarded, will help nurseries, schools and colleges to participate in the National Education Nature Park programme. The work you do through the Nature Park on your grant-funded projects can be listed under biodiversity actions for your Climate Action Plans.

Non-competitive grants of up to £10,000 per setting are available to eligible education settings for:

  • making ‘grey’ spaces green with biodiversity improvements, such as:
  • planters
  • trees
  • green walls
  • water butts
  • improving the biodiversity of grasslands
  • improving the biodiversity of ponds
  • outdoor education equipment, such as tools and waterproofs
  • fieldwork equipment, such as camera traps and digital hand-held devices
  • specialist support from contractors for installation and consultation

Please be sure to check the eligibility list from the Department for Education to see if your educational setting is included and information about the eligibility criteria.

The Royal Horticultural Society have a detailed Frequently Asked Questions page which covers many of the details around the grant conditions, including advice for applicants.
