Background

Kellogg’s, an American multinational food manufacturing company headquartered in Battle Creek, Michigan, United States, manufactures a range of foods, including cereals and cereal bars.

Kellogg’s European headquarters, and the home to its largest factory, is based at Trafford Park in Trafford, Greater Manchester. This has been in operation since 1938.

Kellogg’s started to support school breakfast clubs across Britain in 1998 and since then has provided £4 million of investment to schools.

Objectives of Fund

Kellogg’s, in partnership with Forever Manchester, is awarding grants of £1,000 to school Breakfast Clubs, to help them provide breakfast to those children who need it most.

Value Notes

Grants of £1,000 per breakfast club are available.

Who Can Apply

Eligible breakfast clubs must be based in a school in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.

A limited number of grants are available with priority being given to schools that either:

  • Have 35% and above of children eligible for pupil premium funding (for England) and eligible for free school meals (Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales); or
  • Are based in an area which is classified as falling in the 10% of most deprived areas according to the Index of Multiple Deprivation. Applicants should check their postcode on the Kellogg Breakfast Club Grants - Indices of Deprivation Information page

Only one grant per school in each academic year is available.

Schools that have received breakfast club funding from Gregg's or Magic Breakfast within the current academic year will not be considered a priority for support.
