With COP26 underway, Esri UK’s Education Team has created a new set of free teaching resources, designed in collaboration with the Met Office to help young people learn about climate change and its impact on their local area.

Based on the Met Office’s authoritative data these resources feature brand new, interactive maps allowing you to explore the current climate of the UK, how the UK climate could change over the course of the 21st century, and the impacts that climate change will have on our lives in the UK. Want to Teach With GIS during COP26? Join us on this free webinar to see these new resources for Primary and Secondary.

We will talk you through the resources, touch on some of the science behind them and waymark links to other resources. There will be an opportunity ask questions, including how the resources could be used to engage your learners with climate change during COP26 and beyond and consider how GIS could be a part of this. Not able to make the live webinar? Sign up anyway, as a recording will be emailed to all registrants after the event.
