Religious Education must be taught to all pupils from ages 5 to 18 in all schools and academies. Maintained and voluntary controlled schools must use the locally agreed syllabus and all schools are very welcome to use it. An electronic copy of the new syllabus
is available on BSO.
The final online briefing about the new syllabus, Believing and Belonging, will be held on Monday 7th June from 4pm until 6pm. Bookings will be accepted until 3 June. It will be led by the authors of Believing and Belonging, and you will receive some free
accompanying resources. The briefings will cover the syllabus itself and the resource hub.
Resource Hub
The hub contains a wide range of planning and resources, including over 60 detailed units of work, which support the syllabus. Subscription to the hub is optional and schools are free to write or adapt their own planning if they prefer. Subscription costs
£200 for 3 years.
