Message from the NGA

I would really appreciate if you could share some information about the awards with the boards and/or clerks you work with to encourage them to enter. I know it’s a tricky time to promote something like this and I’ve waited until what is hopefully an appropriate point to mention it to you: we have received several nominations so far which has been fantastic and demonstrates that there is interest in taking part.

If you are able to do this, I have included some copy for a newsletter or social media post to utilise.

Social media – Nominate an outstanding governing board, clerk or lead governance professional for an @NGAmedia Outstanding Governance Award to recognise their excellent practice and impact. www.nga.org.uk/awards

Newsletter – Boards, clerks and lead governance professionals can get recognition for excellent practice and impact in the National Governance Association’s Outstanding Governance Awards which are open until Monday 26 April. You can self-nominate or make a nomination in any category. Enter the awards to demonstrate the positive contribution that good governance makes to schools and the education of children and young people. Visit the awards page for more information and to enter: www.nga.org.uk/awards

If you have already promoted the awards then please excuse my email and thank you for your support. Sharing encouragement locally really makes a difference to boosting nominations and a successful nomination would give a cause to celebrate outstanding governance in your community.
