This course is designed for teaching assistants to enable them to develop their use of every day classroom materials and structured mathematical resources to support the teaching and learning of calculation. 

I have already run this course successfully and am running it again due to popular demand. 

We will explore Jerome Bruner's Concrete, Pictoral, Abstract approach to learning and link this to using manipulatives to help pupils develop their fluency.
