The new GCSE in English Literature has significantly more content, has an increased challenge and is as high stakes as ever. Throw in the complex demands of the English Language GCSE and English teachers have their work cut out. So it is helpful to know
that there are some evidence-based best bets for improving English teaching and ensuring that pupils succeed in the long term.
Over the course of three days, delegates will explore the best available evidence that applies to English teaching and reflect on its application in their own context. They will examine how best to design lessons, curricula and revision so that students can
succeed in English.
With Mark Miller, Head of Bradford Research School. Plus, we’ve gathered together a number of experts in the field from across West Yorkshire. Including Jenny Webb, @funkypedagogy, for Day 3.
The course costs £295 for all three days and will be held at Dixons City Academy. Schools can send an additional delegate for £95.
Day 1: 27th Febuary
Day 2: 25th March
Day 3: 19th June
