Schools are being asked to make sure they have secured their places for a careers fair focusing on the wide range of careers opportunities open to students across the health and care sector in the Bradford and Craven districts.

Held at Bradford University Student Central on 4 March 2020, the aim is to give children in school Years 9 to 13 (students aged 13- to 18) valuable information about careers and opportunities in health and social care.

The district has much to offer our young people - not just in terms of clinical, diagnostic and direct care roles - but in other areas such as community support, IT, research, business and administrative functions.

As well as the main careers fair, there will also be a number of practical workshops, health and wellbeing information, support for young careers and much more.

The event will also help schools and colleges support the Personal, Health, Social and Citizenship (PHSCE) curriculum.

Careers Fair 2020 is organised by local NHS organisations, the Local Authority, the voluntary, independent and community sector, in partnership with Bradford College and Bradford University.

All local schools and colleges are welcome to bring their students along. HERE is some further information about the event, including details of timings and how to book. If you have any questions about the event, please email communications@bradford.nhs.uk.
