This course will consider the benefits of using journaling to record mathematical ideas and show understanding – an approach used in Singapore.

This course will consider the benefits of using journaling to record mathematical ideas and show understanding – an approach used in Singapore. Teachers will have the opportunity to look at examples of pupils’ learning journals from a range of year groups, understand how this approach complements the teaching for mastery approach and see how the course leader uses journaling with a group of pupils from Parkland Primary School. 

It will be lead by Mark Hattersley, NCETM PD Lead, STEM consultant and Assistant Headteacher at a Bradford Primary School
