Free National Centre for Computing audits and bespoke CPD

Last year the government agreed to invest in a new national organisation - the National Centre for Computing Education. This is run by a consortium of STEM Learning, the Raspberry Pi Foundation and BCS (The Chartered Institute for IT) with tthe vision to achieve a world leading computing education

Paul Scott, from Bradford’s Curriculum Innovation team, has been contracted as a regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) working in partnership with the NCCE local hub based at Bingley Grammar.

In his role as an SME Paul can work with Bradford schools to deliver 3.5 hours of free support to each school including a free audit of your school’s Computing curriculum provision using the NCCE Primary Toolkit. Schools can do this individually, but we strongly recommend schools work in small clusters so that the time available to each school can be used more effectively by identifying and delivering a range of bespoke CPD based on the needs of the schools in the cluster. For example, four schools working together would get access to 14 hours of Paul’s time collectively rather than the 3.5 hours individually allowing them access to a broader range of CPD provision for free.

The audit session also highlights a range of £100 bursaries, free resources and free Face to Face and Online CPD schools in Bradford now have access to.

Please note that there are a limited amount of days Paul can utilise for this work.

Please contact paul.scott@theinnovationcentres.com for further information and to book your free audit session.
