Thousands of spectators are expected to line the route and come to Bradford city centre to watch the start of the Women Elite Road race of the Yorkshire 2019 UCI Road World Championships on Saturday 28 September.
In the city centre volunteers are needed to act as ‘meet and greet’, helping visitors in our transport hubs, giving directions, welcome them to Bradford and generally making sure they have a great time.
There will also be a role for volunteers escorting people to VIP guest areas on the day.
We also need people at Lister Park to work with Youth Workers who will be loaning out bikes to spectators as part of the celebrations there.
Volunteers will be provided with a jacket to wear on the day and lunch and travel expenses will be covered.
Spectators of the UCI Road World Championships will be coming from all over the globe to cheer on the elite athletes taking part, so if you have a second language that you’d like to get some practice in, this will be an ideal opportunity.
