We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 31 January. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
We’ve got two exciting education initiatives for schools which are being run by our Community Foundation – Penalty Shootout and our Community Hub.
The Billy Bantam penalty shootout is for schools to raise funds for school. Children in schools raise sponsor money and then get the opportunity to take four penalty kicks against Billy Bantam. The children win prizes provided by us depending on how much money they raise, with the child raising the most receiving a signed ball. A school last month raised £8,000, and the proceeds are split 50/50 with the school and ourselves to cover the prizes and staff. Find out more here www.bradfordcityfitc.org.uk/shoot-out
Our Community Hub supports schools in literacy, numeracy, healthy living and other PHSE topics. The children get a ground tour of Bradford City on arrival and then do the work in our classroom space. Find out more here www.bradfordcityfitc.org.uk/hub
