Bradford Healthy Holidays grants, deadline 24 January 2019 (12 noon)

Grants of up to £6,000 are available for healthy holiday activities with a food component for school-aged young people. Projects should be in the most deprived areas of the district and prioritise children who are eligible for free school meals.

Bradford Health Holidays grants are open for applications from locally-based community activities that address holiday hunger in Bradford district.

Applications can include:

  • Staff costs and volunteer expenses for planning and admin; food preparation; shopping time and travel.
  • Reasonable venue costs.
  • Costs associated with sourcing ingredients or meals through Fareshare, Storehouse, Fuel for School or similar sources.
  • Some food costs to supplement food provided through Fareshare, Storehouse, Fuel for School Project or similar sources.
  • Modest capital items required to deliver the project e.g. small items of catering or sports equipment but not larger items such as computers.
  • Promotion and marketing.

The deadline for applications is 24 January 2019 (12 noon). The funder aims to inform successful applicants by the end of February 2019, so that activity can be delivered over the Easter and summer school holidays.

The briefing event will answer questions and introduce the offer from potential partners.
