One Britain One Nation (OBON) has launched a campaign titled “OBON Day” A Day of Pride & Unity which is to be celebrated on Friday 29th of June 2018 with schools from across the county of West Yorkshire and beyond. The theme of the campaign as
per the attached OBON campaign brochure encourages all schools to create a celebration as they see appropriate with a focus on instilling an element of Pride & Unity in all our children.

We want this day to inspire hope and confidence in every child and for them to have the opportunity to showcase and champion the values that ultimately promote a peaceful and respectful coexistence of all our communities. We feel that the celebrations you
create with the OBON DAY theme could sit very comfortably with the statutory obligation that is placed on every school in promoting British Values whilst also embedding its work with the Bradford Pathways Framework. This also aligns itself very comfortably
to the all-important Education Covenant which is about supporting our children and young people to improve their attainment and raise their aspirations.
In order to raise the awareness of the “OBON DAY” campaign I want to take this opportunity to formally invite you to join us for a Press Photo Call which is to take place at
10.30am on Tuesday 22nd of May 2018 in
the City Park but for all of us to initially meet in the reception area at City Hall, Bradford.
Can I respectfully ask that you please confirm your attendance by contacting Courtney White on the following details:
