Bradford Birth to 19 SCITT invites school leaders to this information evening to find out more about working with the SCITT to support teacher recruitment in Bradford Schools. To find out more about working with SCITT come along on the 29 January 2018, 16.00 to 18.00 at the Media Museum, BD1 1NQ.

Bradford Birth to 19 School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) invites Primary and Secondary Schools in the Bradford, Bingley and Keighley Districts to this Information Evening to find out more about working with the SCITT.

Come along to find out more about how training to teach at a SCITT works, the benefits for schools, trainees / school staff.

The Agenda includes:

·         Talk from Katie Waring, Head of ITT, on the benefits for schools on teacher recruitment and retention.  

·         Details of Salaried placements, Fee funded placements and Teacher Training Apprenticeships

·         SCITT or School direct partnership routes

·         Opportunity to talk to either Primary or Secondary school senior  leaders about working with Bradford Birth to 19 SCITT

Bradford Birth to 19 SCITT offers salaried and unsalaried places in primary and secondary initial teacher training, trainees work towards achieving QTS and a PGCE. The SCITT currently has over 45 trainees in over 30 schools in the Bradford district.

Our partner schools are involved in both the teaching placement, and also the training days.

Our SCITT training sessions are delivered at a number of schools throughout the Bradford and Keighley area. They are not just venues for the sessions, these schools are chosen due to their significant experience in the area of teaching and learning being taught. Many of the sessions include observations of teaching in the classroom as well as resources available to support the learning.
