School leaders are invited to join cohort 4 of the highly popular and successful Aspiring Head of School / Headteacher Programme and register staff for the Emerging Middle Leader Programme.

Aspiring Head of School / Headteacher Programme

The DfE contacted us on Friday evening offering us the funding to subsidise a fourth cohort of the Aspiring Head of School/Headteacher Programme, following three successful cohorts in the last 12 months. As previously, the cost of this four day programme is £300 plus VAT after the £1000 subsidy. This includes visits to five ‘Outstanding’ schools in Bradford and South London, the primary school ranked 39th in the country in The Sunday Times list of the top 250 state schools in the country 2017, two-nights' hotel accommodation in Greenwich, a meal at Zizzi’s Restaurant and return train travel.

Dates for the programme are as follows:

  • Day 1: Wednesday 21 February  - Bradford. Considering leadership model, the Headteacher Standards and personal development and visits to Horton Grange, Copthorne, Horton Park primary schools and Canterbury Nursery School
  • Day 2-3: Thursday 1 and Friday 2 March 2018 (travel down on the evening of 28 February) - South London. Visit to Haseltine and Fairlawn primary schools, Lewisham. Evening meal at Zizzi’s Restaurant and visit to The Shard or The Sky Garden.
