A science festival, headed by Professor Brian Cox, hopes to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists.
Over the last 5 years it has grown from 50 delegates to over 400, representing around 30 different schools nationwide.
It is also connected with world class universities and entrepreneurial business development.
The event consists of a series of short TED style talks delivered by esteemed scientists as well as exciting and interactive practical science workshops. This opportunity give students a real insight into science in the real world and the different fields
that they can go on to in the future within STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths).
This year it will be held on Tuesday 25th July and Wednesday 26th July and students from Year 7 to Year 13 are invited to attend, attendance is free and lunch and refreshments are provided on both days.
Places are limited, so if your school would like to get involved please request a registration pack as soon as possible by emailing:
Schools will need to organise their own travel and accommodation but we are happy to recommend places that have been used by school groups in the past.
