Nine primary schools in the BD5 area of Bradford, alongside the National Science and Media Museum and Bradford City Library, are hosting a fantastic 'Bedtime Stories' reading event for their families.

The first event, back in October 2016, attracted between 1000-1500 local families.

It was a great success, inspiring families to share more stories and read together at home.

This next installment of 'Bedtime Stories' will take place on Tuesday 23rd May 2017 at The National Science and Media Museum and Bradford City Library.

The event will include an author workshop with Kate Pankhurst, poetry sessions with Andy Tooze, a word wizard performance by Andy Newbound and lots more! Thanks to kind donations from a host of companies including The Book Trust, Kemira Chemicals and Madeleine Lindley, families that attend will also receive a goody bag packed with a book and other goodies!

The BD5 group are hoping that the event will help to foster a life-long love of stories, nurture stronger family relationships and encourage children to read more at home.
