Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and Learning Disabilities Workshops in May

Bradford and Keighley based practitioners are invited to attend one of two workshops - one in Keighley and one in Bradford, which take place in May.

The report, ‘Unprotected, Overprotected: meeting the needs of young people with learning disabilities who experience, or are at risk of sexual exploitation', highlights children and young people with learning disabilities are more vulnerable to Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) than other children, facing additional barriers to their protection and to receiving support.

Two events are being hosted, one in Keighley and one in Bradford:

  • Monday 22 May, Beechcliffe School Keighley

  • Tuesday 23 May, City Hall, Bradford

The CSE and Learning Disabilities workshops offer Bradford and Keighley based practitioners the opportunity to:

  • Increase their awareness about the additional vulnerability of young people  with learning disabilities to CSE
  • To improve our response to children with learning disabilities who experience, or are at risk, of child sexual exploitation

Please find attached the poster which has all the times and booking details
