Following a local project with impressive results in 2014-15, colleagues in Enfield have successfully bid for a research project with the Education Endowment Fund (EEF). They are now looking to recruit schools outside of London who are interested in getting
free LiLAC training (Language in Learning across the Curriculum) and participating in the EEF research.
The project is looking to recruit primary schools within the Bradford District. Schools will ideally be 16% or more EAL, have a strong literacy leader or member of SLT who could lead the project, see that cross-curricular literacy is important for improving
results and want to participate in a research project.
The work load for teachers will be around completing the training and embedding it into classroom practice through topic or cross-curricular schemes of work.
The Education Service for New Communities and Travellers will be supporting the project so please feel free to contact me at
jasdeep.kaushal@bradford.gov.uk or on 07582 109134, or Michelle Stanley in Enfield on 0208 379 3204 if you would like further information or if you have any questions.
Places are limited so please respond promptly to take advantage of this opportunity. A formal expression of interest would need to be completed
by Friday 16th September, 2016.
