Introduction to Migration Working with vulnerable migrants in Bradford

Want to learn more about migrant patterns in Bradford, different migrant groups, barriers migrants face when accessing services, this course will provide an overview of migration and working with vulnerable migrants in the Bradford district.

Aims:

On completiton of the course participants will:

  • Understand different migrant groups and different routes of entry to the UK

  • Understanding of Rights and entitlements of different migrant groups to services

  • Understand the patterns of migration in Bradford and Yorkshire and the impacts this has on service delivery

  • Understand some of the difficulties country migrants may face integrating in Yorkshire and how statutory and voluntary services can respond to these challenges

  • Hear a first-hand account of the barriers migrants face when accessing services and explore ways to overcome these barriers
