Free event - Artsmark Briefings for schools Wed 13 Jan 4pm-5pm

The totally revamped Artsmark from Arts Council England has now been launched – offering schools a new way to fulfil key aspects that Ofsted look for. CapeUK are offering schools an exclusive look at the new-style Artsmark at briefing events in January.

Artsmark now offers a clear process of school planning that enables you to address whole school priorities through the arts and culture.

The process now has seven simple steps:

  •        Register
  •        Complete a short self-assessment
  •        Attend a development day for two members of staff
  •        Complete a statement of commitment
  •        Deliver the work on your school priority
  •        Submit a case study
  •        Get your Artsmark level

At this term’s briefings in Yorkshire and the Humber around 200 schools found out about the benefits of Artsmark – bringing arts and culture to every classroom and inspiring young people. More than 100 schools in the region have already signed up in the first few weeks of registrations being open.

The new Artsmark has been designed by teachers for teachers to support connections with schools’ own strategies and is aligned with the National Curriculum and planning cycles. For those who have achieved Artsmark before, the biggest difference you’ll see is that Artsmark is now forward looking rather than being an audit of past work.

Please note these sessions are for schools who have not yet signed up to the Artsmark process.
